On my new camera, if I take a picture at the highest resolution, the card only holds one image!
I have an Olympus C-4000 ZOOM
I think my card is 16 MB. I was wondering if you had to upgrade your card after you bought your camera, and also what size card you have on your camera. |

Hiya David,
I just registered, and read your question . . .
I have the exact same camera . . . couple of suggestions:
1. Unless every picture that you take is destined to be sent via the Internet . . . set your camera to the lowest resolution - whatever it is - 640 (or is it ) 680 and make sure you set it to stay there. I defy you to tell the difference with your eyes . . . plug it straight into your video input of a tv and view the highest resolution and the lowest. See any major differences???
2. Pick up another card, minimum 64 MB - go higher if you can afford it.
Now, with your camera set at the lowest reso . . . you can have up to 64 pictures on the 16 MB card and 256 pictures with the 64 MB card.
One last thing . . .always have a spare set of fresh batteries on hand, or purchase some rechargeable batteries and a re-charger - and I highly recommend the latter.
The ONLY gripe I have with this camera, and any digital for that matter, is the slow response times between "pushing the button down" and when it actually takes the picture . . . I've missed some great shots because of this, and then . . . well, I'm learning to take my 35 mm camera with me!
Let me know how it works out for you??? |
